Originally from South Carolina and currently based in Chicago, Kara Fisher Mitton graduated with their BFA in painting from USC Columbia in 2018. They have since shown throughout their home state, Chicago and New York. Recent publications include a feature in the exhibition catalogue Collective Narratives with Bridgeport Arts Center. This past summer, they had the pleasure of attending the Communal Residency at the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild in New York State.

Mitton’s developing work explores the dichotomy of transience and the home through the intersection of painting and installation sculpture.
